Marigold

Location
Kyle, TX
Scope
Amenity Center and Entrance Monument

First impressions, built in stone.

Marigold is a community in Kyle developed by DR Horton, and CMA delivered both the Marigold amenity center and the community’s entrance monument, the two places that shape how the neighborhood looks and how it gathers.

The amenity center was designed around everyday use. A splash pad sits beneath a broad shade sail, giving kids a place to cool off through a Texas summer, with benches along the edge for anyone keeping watch. A covered pavilion with a metal roof shelters a group of picnic tables, ready for birthday parties and weekend cookouts. A playground and a restroom building round out the site, and winding concrete paths tie every piece together and connect back to the parking area.

At the front of the community, the entrance monument sets the tone from the road. A white board-and-batten tower topped with a cupola stands beside a sign wall bearing the Marigold name, both grounded on a stacked limestone base that fits naturally into the Central Texas landscape.

The Marigold amenity center is compact by design. Rather than one large building, the site spreads a handful of well-built pieces across open green space, giving the community somewhere to spend an afternoon outside. CMA has built amenity sites for DR Horton across Central Texas, including Westhaven and Fairhaven in Georgetown, and Marigold carries the same focus on durable construction and spaces that get used every day.
